Hello Speechies,
Let's talk news. Everyone must turn in their yellow forms. That has become a standard part of this newsletter, but that's just because its important. So do it. Tournaments are gonna be starting soon (Nov. 2!!!) so everyone should be ready to give their wonderful speeches by then.
We will be having our mock tournament soon (October 30th!!!!), so that should help everybody get a sense of what a tournament is like. At the same time, we will be having a parent night so that our families will have a sense of what we are doing at school all the time. Everyone should definitely bring in food, because that would make the night so much better. PLEASE RETURN THE SLIPS TO GIEGLER about if you and your parents are coming. This needs to be turned in by TUESDAY!
Finally, by Oct. 31 everyone needs to have filled their schedule online. You should be able to find a link to that on the speech weebly.

Hello Speech Members,
Plenty of news, so let's get started. As always, bring in your forms. The T-shirt forms are gonna be due Friday, so get on that. You don't wanna miss that deadline. There should be a T-shirt link attached to this newsletter. Speaking of clothing, it's time to start thinking about your tournament attire. We want to look professional. Details as to where you can pick up these threads will be handed out at circle coaching. Next, I have a few important dates for you guys to check out.

Hello to all my Speechies, I have more news for you guys. Wednesday and Thursday of this week we will be having our sorting hat event. This means that all new members, or returning members who still need an event, should be signing up for a spot on the speech board. Remember guys, these aren't auditions, so don't stress about getting kicked off the team or something. That's not going to happen. We just want everyone to find the place where they are the strongest, and can do best. The results will be on the speech board, the Facebook page, and the speech weebly page. The season is getting started now so everyone should be getting to work on preparing for this year. Approximate schedules were handed out at the meeting on Tuesday, but if you missed it just talk to a coach or a veteran speech to get an idea of where you should be at. The schedules have also been posted on the speech board. Each week we need to be coming to the Tuesday meetings, signing up for one on one time with coaches, and going to circle coaching. My advice to the new people is to get to work early, because it feels awesome to be fully prepared at the first tournament. If anyone is interested in getting a shirt (everyone should be) then you can go check our Facebook and our Twitter for a link to the forms. It's gonna be ten dollars for a shirt and thirty for a sweatshirt. Finally, as always, everyone need to bring in their forms. The tournaments are gonna come quick, and it can really mess things up if you forget. Overall, everyone should just be getting excited that the season is starting. It's gonna be an awesome year.

Hey everybody!!
Speech is back and last Tuesday was the first meeting. We covered a lot of stuff, but most importantly we are excited to welcome a lot of new speechies! We summarized all the events for the new speech members and if you want to find more information stop by our website fhsspeech.weebly.com. Also, it's seriously important that we all get to work on our paperwork. Mrs. Giegler needs our yellow cards and behavior contracts ASAP, so why not get it all done this week? Hopefully everyone is totally pumped to get started, because it's going to be a great year!
