Meet the Coaches
Mrs. Giegler: Mrs Giegler is the head coach. She was once a part of the Fremd speech team as a competitor (Prose and Special Occassion Speaking) when she was in high school and was thrilled to come back as part of the coaching staff. Mr. Craddock: Mr. Craddock also competed on a speech team in high school (he went to Hersey in Arlington Heights) and tried out many events until he found his untapped talent in Original Comedy. He has been coaching for as long as he has been teaching and his competitors have seen great success. He is a science teacher at Fremd and will be coaching Humorous Interpretations and Original Comedy this year. You can check out his debut appearance teaching chemistry on the Bozo show HERE.
Mrs Braverman: Mrs. Braverman was introduced to the speech world four years ago and has found a great love for the event. Prior to speech she had a great deal of experience with drama and continues to work with youth productions during the summer. She is an English teacher and excited to start working with the musical props and costume crews. This year she will be coaching Humorous Duet Acting and Special Occasion Speaking.
Mr. Spoor: Mr. Spoor was a competitor on his high school speech team and went to state in Humorous Duet Acting for Crystal Lake South (go Gators!). After having a great experience in high school he started coaching when he started teaching and has helped students have a similar experience to his. He is a social studies teacher at Fremd. This year he will be coaching Dramatic Duet Acting and Dramatic Interpretation.
Mr. Noens: Mr. Noens competed on the Fremd speech team where he was trained by a couple of the greats: Mr. Spoor-Harvey and Mr. Craddock. He competed in Dramatic Interpretation, as well as Dramatic and Humorous Duet Acting in high school. After graduating, Mr. Noens couldn't shake the speech bug and continued on to college speech where he competed on a national level in Prose, Reader's Theater, Drama Interpretation, Duo Interpretation and Communication Analysis. This year he will be coaching Oratorical Declamation and Dramatic Duet Acting.
Mr. Cavalieri: New to the speech world, Mr. Cavalieri is very excited to enter into the fantastic world of competitive speaking. He is a new English teacher here at Fremd and his fabulous ability to edit papers and find great literature will be welcomed in his events. This year he will be coaching Original Oratory and Prose.
